The Hydrogen Centres of Vocational Excellence (H2CoVE) project aims to develop a skilled workforce in the partner regions and across Europe to enable a successful transition to a hydrogen-based economy.

The primary goal of the Hydrogen Centres of Vocational Excellence (H2CoVE) project is to address the growing need for specialised skills in the hydrogen sector and to ensure that the skills gap does not impede innovation or slow the transition towards a hydrogen-based economy. This project is dedicated to fostering the development of a highly skilled workforce, fully equipped to meet the demands of the hydrogen industry, particularly in the partner regions.

By creating an ecosystem for hydrogen-related vocational education and training, the H2CoVE project will empower individuals, businesses, and communities to actively contribute to and benefit from the hydrogen economy. The initiative not only aims to meet local industry needs but also to promote the adoption of these skills across Europe, ensuring that the hydrogen sector can grow and thrive sustainably.

Through collaboration with educational institutions, industry leaders, and regional authorities, the Hydrogen Centres of Vocational Excellence project will support the development and implementation of innovative training programmes, upskilling initiatives, and knowledge exchange platforms. This will facilitate a seamless transition to hydrogen skills ecosystems that will be resilient, adaptable, and aligned with the evolving needs of the hydrogen economy on a European scale.

In doing so, the project plays a fundamental role in ensuring that Europe remains at the forefront of hydrogen innovation, driving both economic growth and environmental sustainability.
