About

Fagskulen Vestland is one of the largest public vocational colleges in Norway, with appr. 2,000 students and 200 employees. Our mission is to be the preferred provider of practical skills and competence for the workforce in Vestland county and we offer profession- and business-focused educational programmes within a wide range of subject areas, including maritime, marine, technical and petroleum technical fields, building and civil engineering, health professions, and food and agricultural subjects. The courses are at EQF level 5 and are offered as short module-based courses from 5 ECTS to full time/part time courses of 120 ECTS.

Fagskulen Vestland is increasingly engaging in international collaboration, both in cooperation partnerships and mobility projects. The college is located in the western part of Norway, with the main administration in campus Bergen.

H2CoVE Activities

The strategy of the Fagskulen Vestland emphasises the UN’s sustainability goals, and the green transition is an important aspect in the constant development of all educational offers. The H2CoVE project, where we act as regional partner to the Vestland eco-system in Norway, will further strengthen our competence and capacity on hydrogen, and enable us to deliver training and education of high quality for the new green industries in our region. Among other activities, we will contribute to the organising of regional and international train-the-trainer courses on hydrogen, and we will develop and pilot courses for students and for enterprises together with our regional and international partners.
