About

HTL Kramsach, Glass and Chemistry is a campus offering pupils in the age from 14 to 19 years vocational education in different school-types . Since 1948 HTL Kramsach has been considered a Central European Competenc Centre of glass processing and design. Having grown in 2013 the campus was enlarged with the department of Chemistry. The 5-year Chemistry HTL provides well-founded specialist training with a deepening in chemical engineering, as well as a solid general education. Education emphasizes on theoretical chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology and business covering the needs of the local chemical industry. Every year about 150 pupils are trained in 5 modern labs and 1 small pilot scale lab. Education ends with graduating with diploma, leaving certificate EQF level 5.

Activities

In the project HTL Kramsach aims to improve its competence in H2 technologies by continues vocational training of teachers (train the trainer programs) and by the conception, up-dating, testing and implementation of educational offers for students in secondary school 2. Engaging of pupils in secondary school 1 to sustainability and new technologies shall be achieved by peer to peer offers. HTL Kramsach acts as stakeholder in local and international networking to H2 competencies in education, development and application areas.
