About
klasse!forschung - Education meets Science & Innovation. Under this guiding principle the non-profit organisation “klasse!forschung”– established in 2014 in Tyrol (Austria) – aims to provide authentic, real-life scientific educational activities for schools on STEAM topics. The adaptable formats include educational activities in laboratories and industrial workplaces, as well as toolkits, digital teaching methods based on international best practices. Building on its function as a central hub connecting schools, research institutions and companies in Tyrol, the organisation is also responsible for the coordination of “MINT Tirol” (“STEM Tyrol”) since 2022. This includes the coordination, consultation, bundling and visualisation of STEM education initiatives from elementary education to lifelong learning.
Activities
Based on our dense network of various stakeholders from the field of STEM education at regional level, we want to bring together different competences and interests and leverage synergies in the ‘Hydrogen Centres of Vocational Excellence’ project.
Exchange of regional experience & international findings
We will involve stakeholders from education, science, business, industry, and labour market services at different points in the project to incorporate regional requirements in terms of qualifications and training in the hydrogen sector as broadly as possible. A key element is built by the exchange of knowledge and experience between the international and the regional level.
Focus on the future workforce
In addition to our input in the development of vocational training programmes, we will address the target group of students and people in vocational orientation. Our focus is on arousing interest and providing information about training and career opportunities along the hydrogen value chains.
