About
The Sustainable Energy Catapult Centre is a driving force for the green transition and the transition to more climate and environmentally friendly energy sources. We help companies develop and test sustainable solutions for producing, storing, distributing and managing energy – from prototype development and testing in laboratory environments to finished products that need to be tested in operational facilities on land, on ships and in marine environments. We provide the expertise and test facilities companies need to give their solution the shortest route from idea to market. We also help you apply for project funding from relevant funding programs. Sustainable Energy was established in 2018 and then gained status as one of five Norwegian Catapult Centres. Our main office is located in Stord, close to many pioneering companies in the field of maritime environmental technologies in Western Norway.
Activities
As a complementary partner in this project, Sustainable Energy AS will leverage its extensive expertise and state-of-the-art test facilities to support the European workforce's transition to hydrogen usage. Our role will include providing in-depth knowledge and experience from our numerous projects involving hydrogen production, storage, and utilization. Additionally, we will share insights from our ongoing development of specialized training courses tailored for industry professionals, which can complement the project's efforts by equipping individuals with the necessary skills to handle hydrogen safely and effectively. By sharing our best practices and insights from previous hydrogen projects, we aim to complement the efforts of other project partners and contribute significantly to building a competent and resilient workforce capable of driving Europe's hydrogen economy forward.
