H2CoVE at the WIVA P&G annual event
WIVA P&G – Austria's associated partner in the H2CoVE project – hosted its annual event on Oct 20th 2025 at the Landhaus in Innsbruck under the heading ‘Paths to the future: hydrogen innovations made in Austria’.
Federal Minister Wolfgang Hattmannsdorfer and Provincial Councillor Mario Gerber emphasised the strategic importance of green hydrogen and renewable gases for business and research in Austria as well as for the energy transition. The combination of competitiveness and climate protection has also been highlighted by Horst Steinmüller, Chairman of WIVA P&G. Managing Director Elvira Lutter underlined the upcoming phase of scale-up, cooperation and international visibility that is on the WIVA P&G agenda. During the project presentation, the results of the Hydrogen Valley HyWest project from Tyrol were presented by Nikolaus Fleischhacker, Managing Director of FEN Research. In addition, representatives from klasse!forschung, FH Kufstein, FEN Sustain Systems and FEN Research took the opportunity to learn about current developments in the Austrian hydrogen economy and communicate H2CoVE as part of the poster presentation.
